Mexican Christmas Bonus (Aguinaldo) Calculator

Calculate your yearly aguinaldo in seconds: full or prorated if you didn't work the whole year. Free, no sign-up, and your data never leaves your browser.

How do you know your salary?

This calculator assumes a fixed salary. If you earn commissions, piecework or other variable pay, the base may need a different average (your last 30 days worked).

The legal minimum is 15 days (art. 87, Federal Labor Law). If your employer grants more, enter it here.

Leave empty if you worked the full year. If you enter a date, it assumes you're still working there through December 31; if you already left, use the basic severance calculator instead.

Days not worked without justification during the year.

The calculation runs in your browser: the values you enter are never sent to a server or stored. Loading the page does make the ordinary requests any website makes.

Legal basis

  • Art. 87 of the Federal Labor Law: employees are entitled to a yearly bonus of at least 15 days of salary, payable before December 20. Those who didn't complete the year receive the proportional part.
  • The calculation base is the ordinary daily wage, not the integrated salary of art. 84 — that one applies to severance indemnities.
  • If your salary is variable (commissions, piecework or other variable pay), the base should be the average of your last 30 days worked, per PROFEDET criteria — not your latest fixed salary.
  • The aguinaldo is exempt from income tax up to 30 times the daily UMA (art. 93, section XIV, Income Tax Law); the excess is taxed. Check the current UMA value at INEGI.

This calculator is for guidance only and does not replace legal advice. If you'll use the result in a negotiation or lawsuit, review it against current law with a licensed attorney.
