This calculator assumes a fixed salary. If you earn commissions, piecework or other variable pay, the base may need a different average (your last 30 days worked).

Legal basis
- Art. 87 of the Federal Labor Law: employees are entitled to a yearly bonus of at least 15 days of salary, payable before December 20. Those who didn't complete the year receive the proportional part.
- The calculation base is the ordinary daily wage, not the integrated salary of art. 84 — that one applies to severance indemnities.
- If your salary is variable (commissions, piecework or other variable pay), the base should be the average of your last 30 days worked, per PROFEDET criteria — not your latest fixed salary.
- The aguinaldo is exempt from income tax up to 30 times the daily UMA (art. 93, section XIV, Income Tax Law); the excess is taxed. Check the current UMA value at INEGI.
